How I'm Feeling Today

This is gonna piss some people off.  This is exactly how much I care.  If you can't handle me, then stop reading.  Stop tuning in.  Stop following.  I'm not your fearless fucking leader.  I'm just ME.  Enjoy.  Or don't.

  1. When I was younger, I had no idea what the women's liberation movement was, nor why it existed.

Now I'm in my 50's, I have had a chance to read a bit more, and I am truly ashamed that it has taken so long for me to "get it".

Yes it's true that I am a submissive male, but this has nothing to do with kinky proclivities. It has everything to do with simply aspiring to be a decent human being.

Arranged marriages should piss people off. The presumption that a raped woman deserved to be raped should piss people off. Societies that won't even allow their women to drive a car should piss people off.

But no, I don't understand how this can piss anyone off.

  2. Nope, not pissed, not even a little.

This last year in school my elder son chose to write an essay taking the position that women should be allowed to serve in front line combat. I have to say, I felt like it was a promising sign.
He had a sleep over and one of his buddies was being critical of his action flick choice, Salt. He was saying, how good could it be, it's about a chick!
My son said, "yah, a chick who could kick your ass! Don't be such a sexist."
The boy makes his mama proud.

  3. DD, that's WONDERFUL! Go young man indeed! I agree that women should be allowed to serve in front-line combat. the mother of a former student of mine was stationed in Iraq during the first go-round in the Gulf, and there are all these pictures of her on a tank, but she wasn't allowed to drive it. But she looked awesome on that tank! She's one helluva good person too. Thanks for the feedback!
