Things That Make Me Go. . . .WTF?!?!?

http://www.thepacifican.com/new/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=3394&Itemid=100015

Hole. . . lee. . . shit. . .  I don't know what the fuck the world is coming to.  I just read about a young lady named Amber Cole, who was videotaped by a couple of her male "friends" giving a bj to a boy her age.  Ms. Cole and the boy in the video are both 14.

This is wrong.  This is beyond wrong.  I don't want to hear a bunch of "oh boys-will-be-boys-so-get-over-it" horseshit from some of you alleged "submissives" and how they are "exercising their rights as burgeoning males" bullshit.  As someone who was once in a similar situation when she was in college, and whose perpetrators and rapists never even so much as got a slap on the wrist from the school administration, this shit makes me sick to my very soul.

Now--I also read something out on the web about how these two idiots were arrested, FINALLY.  The video had allegedly been pulled, but I just checked YouTube--and it's still there.  No, you assholes, I didn't fucking watch it!  No, you assholes, I'm not gonna!  what I DID see was a video of a young girl about her age, requesting that people LEAVE AMBER COLE ALONE, and STOP with the BULLYING.

Look, y'all, I'm just gonna rip right out and say this.  That little girl was coerced.  That little girl was recording performing a sexual act.  There were 2 other people in the room who could have stopped it who chose not to.  Amber's the one in the wrong?  REALLY?!?!?!?  FUCKING REALLY?!?!?!?!?  What about those two boys, especially the one holding the fucking video phone or whatever the fuck it was?  Last time I checked, kiddie porn is ILLEGAL.  EVEN IF IT'S MADE BY MINORS.

Amber Cole, I fully support you as a young woman.  Keep your head up and to hell with the haters.  Go out and have a beautiful life, despite them.

Oh yeah, and to those of you who think this kinda shit is cool--FUCK YOU.  STOP READING MY BLOG, STOP ACTING ALL OFFENDED WHEN I SHOOT MY MOUTH OFF AND SWEAR AND TAKE UP FOR THE DEFENSELESS, AND CLAIMING TO BE SOMETHING YOU'RE FUCKING NOT, YOU FUCKING LOSERS.

I'm too pissed off to have any sort of logical, sound, rational reaction to this, because this is ILLOGICAL, IRRATIONAL, and disgusting on so many levels it'll take me a logarithm and maybe even an act of Divinity to figure this shit out.  So unless you have something POSITIVE to say in DEFENSE OF THE VICTIM (who, by the way, is a FEMALE named AMBER), don't fucking bother me.

Opening Up, Ethical Sluts, and Wild Wild Women Like Me

I've known about Dossie Easton and Janice Hardy's The Ethical Slut for a little over a year now.  I'm a fan of Easton and Hardy's easy, approachable writing style, and The Ethical Slut doesn't seem to be any different, nor does the sample I've read thus far disappoint.  If anything, I find this may be a very helpful and healing read.

Dear Readers, I was what you might consider a slut.  When I was in my teens and twenties, I enjoyed the tiny tingles between my legs, I participated quite often in mutual and single masturbation, and once I got that cherry popped, I really enjoyed sex.  I mean I really, really enjoyed sex!  Of course I was safe.  I'm not stupid.  No slut really truly is.  But some of that changed when I was in college.

Lots of young men--and a few young women, too--rather enjoyed my company, as well as my body.  Quite a few of the young men also ruined any sort of "good" reputation I had.

Then something truly hideous happened.  I was gang-raped.

At that time, there was a phrase that I had never been exposed to before I went to college:  "You can't rape the willing."

Really?  I wasn't willing to be dragged into a dorm room.  I wasn't willing to be humiliated, literally shat and pissed upon (those of you who are down with water sports, anal and scat--more power to ya, but this is part of why I don't dig it.  I'm not judging those who are down, but this is part of why I'm not).  When you've had what little power you're tapping into ripped from you by force and humiliation, it's a helluva long way back to get your confidence, groove, and sanity back.  I was known as a train girl, and I didn't even know what the fuck a train girl was.  Irony, indeed--my grandfather worked for the railroad.  Would he have done to me what these young me did?  Hell no!  Would he have stopped it if he could?  You better believe it!

Anyways--Easton and Hardy's work make me want to reclaim the moniker of slut.  They make me want to celebrate my body, my sexuality, my weirdness.  They make me want to travel back in time to slap a Victorian man.

Please excuse me, Dear Readers, while I embrace and get back in touch with my inner Wildness.

Some videos for lovers of high heels

Musical fun

For those of you with no sense of humor, or who don't appreciate good rockabilly, or who just don't get me as a person, you won't like this video.  For everyone else, hope you enjoy it!  ;)

Crunk Feminist Collective

is hands-down, across-the-board, no-holds barred awesomeness on the web.  I've only read the first of 2 or 3 of the posts I've found after being away for a week.  SUCH good advice!  SUCH brilliant writing!  Whether you follow feminists or not, whether you're urban, suburban, our way out in the sticks like m'self, you're sure to enjoy their material.  Leopard heels in a meeting--YUM-O!

I've also enjoyed reading a new blog I've discovered, A Domestic Domme.  She has excellent advice and writes beautifully!  I hope she updates soon, though.

Enjoy, Readers!

More Reviews, but Some Arguments, Too!

So I downloaded LOTS of samples from Jessica Valenti last night.  Interesting stuff.  I can't say that I agree with all of it, but I will say this--feminism is NOT a bad word, nor is it a bad thing to be.  What IS bad--racism, CLASSISM, and men getting all offended if a woman calls them ugly, or makes an anti-male, raunchy, sexist joke.  Uh--fellas?  Y'all did that shit in front of women for centuries.  So now that some of you are "claiming" to be sensitive and in touch with your feminine sides, that doesn't mean you shouldn't be so PC that you can't take a joke or withstand a little harmless ribbing.

Not as pissed off as I was, but work has been sapping my energy.  But I love when I'm in boss-lady mode!

Well FCUK ME!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy shit!  Look what else I found!

http://crunkfeministcollective.wordpress.com/

SUCH a good day online, but I can't hit any of this at work when I get bored or need a wee diversion from everyone else's bullshit.

For those who don't think feminism and race relations and economics has anything to do with REAL D/s and BDSM, I'M CALLING YOU OUT!  YA HEAR ME DAMN IT?!?!?  I'M CALLING YOU OUT!

You feel like a fight?  Fine.  Wanna start some shit?  Fine.  Just remember. . .  for every bullshit conspiracy you try and throw at me, I'll find an academic reference with perfect spelling that will shoot holes in your shoddy theories every. . . fucking. . . time.

Ya wanna rock n' roll?  Let's go. . .

What I'm Reading and How Things May Change Even More

I got curious about a feminist blog today, and had to wait until I returned home to try and look at it.  It's blocked at work.  But I'm curious about reading more from the blog's main author and co-founder, Jessica Valenti.

Currently, I'm reading Different Loving.  But I'll soon be downloading samples of and eventually checking out the work of Ms. Valenti.  For now, you might want to peruse Feministing.com.

Book Review: The Sexually Dominant Woman

I've had this one on my Kindle for quite some time, but I could never really get started with it.  Since I've chosen this path, and since I've chosen to change some things internally with myself, I decided to read more than just the first three chapters.  And I'm so glad I did.

Lady Green takes the reader--who she assumes, and she states this quite clearly, is female and in a heterosexual relationship--through basic safety, protocols, and she even gives the reader a step-by-step scene, so that they may begin their journey.

As someone who was raised in a rather traditional vanilla home, this is a very helpful guidebook.  Lady Green even gives the reader a list of references and other works in her rather expansive appendices, which I think is wonderful!  Because of Lady Green, I am now determined to read the rest of Jay Wiseman's Sm 101, as well as eventually purchase the updated version of Carol Queen's Exhibitionism for the Shy.

A note of help to any submissives there who are involved with someone, or would like to be:  read this, and discuss OPENLY with your potential Significant Other EXACTLY what you are willing to provide via your submission.  I've noticed a lot of bitching and kvetching from submissive men out here in the blogosphere in regard to how they can't find anyone, or how they feel misunderstood.  This may be exactly what you need to set your fears and timidity aside and help your potential Dom/me come to terms with you as well as themselves.

Fairy-tale Nightmares

I have finished Lux from the anthology Here Be Monsters.  Lux is quite the accomplished killer.  She is the Doctor's daughter, and he made her what she is.  Without giving away too much of the plot, I will say this--if this ever becomes a full-length novel, I'll be the first in line to purchase it.  If it were a movie, I'd be the first in line for  a ticket.

Lux kills monsters.  Most of these monsters are, of course, lab-created, and were either set free, or "escaped" (i. e. were set free and given the impression they were escaping, but the escape is illusory).  The worst monster of all  is, of course, strapped to his own hideous device, while Lux really does escape, hops onto a plane bound for Paris, and begins studying the idea of scaling the Cathedral de Notre Dame.  She bests them all, like the most skilled of killers, and Lux is my little anti-hero.  I highly recommend this short story!

Just In Time for Halloween. . .

In honor of my favorite holiday, and in honor of filthy pagans and beatniks and oddballs everywhere, I will be bringing you some short story reviews from a delightful anthology, Here Be Monsters.

I just finished India Drummond's The Reaver, a science fiction piece in which human souls are captured for the pleasure of demons and encased in orbs.  Why have I chosen this one?  Because the soul of a human princess is seen as filthy, brown, muddy and plain, while the soul of a woman-warrior is many-faceted, like the jewels We are.  Krel is a creator of such orbs, and is so obsessed with his work that he doesn't even notice when his only daughter, Ruygret, is killed later by human upstarts.

I am also mid-way through Anabel Portillo's Lux, and have already found my favorite quote:  ". . . a good little monster, doing her chores."  I'll review this one after I've finished it.  Lux is perhaps one of my favorite new fictional characters I've been introduced to, and I certainly don't mind stating that, aside from her honey-blonde hair and blue eyes, I like her because she reminds me so very much of me--small, slight, freakishly strong with a sky-high metabolism and a fast heart, and a monster-hunter.

Yeah, I'm crushin' hard, too. . . . I'll write more on this as soon as I finish it, I swear!
